Name: Harlow Graves
Alias: None
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Race: Psychic Vampire
Alignment: Evil
Date of Birth: January 19th, 1986
Place of Birth: Manhattan, NY (Alternate Earth)
Physical Appearance: Harlow is a middle aged, African American male. He is six feet, five inches and is in very good shape physically. Has dark brown eyes, black hair and a beard that is neatly kept.
Face Claim: Winston Duke
Special Abilities: Slightly enhanced strength, speed, endurance and reflexes.
Being a psychic vampire, Harlow must feed on a being's life force. If he hasn’t performed any strenuous activities, such as fighting or something of that nature, he doesn't need much. However, if he is forced into a weakened state then he must feed until his victim is drained of all their life force. He achieves this in two ways. When feeding, his pupils will change to a white/silver-ish glow for a few seconds.
Silk Thread: Harlow must be no more than five feet away from his victim. An almost invisible thread (can be seen by some with special abilities) shoots out from his neck and attaches to the target’s neck. This method only sucks a small amount of life force from the person. The person will feel a slight pinch no more noticeable than a mosquito bite.
Physical Contact: This method relies on Harlow physically touching his victim’s skin with his own and latching on for a longer period of time. Feeding in this method draws more life force from the person.
Strengths: Very personable, can adapt to most situations quickly, rarely panics.
Weaknesses: Must feed at least once a day using his Silk Thread ability otherwise must resort to his second ability. If he doesn’t, he will become weakened and will eventually die. Still must eat and drink like a normal human.
Weapons: None
History: Born in an alternate version of Earth that was similar to this one. Harlow was born a normal human being like everyone else. One day, he was simply walking from his home to work, then he was blinded by a white flash and passed out. He was later awoken by a person passing by his unconscious body. He felt very weak and could hardly stand. The person helping him began to phone for an ambulance, when Harlow placed his hand on the person’s bare arm. He started feeling his strength come back to him little by little until he noticed the other person getting weaker.
He quickly let go of the person, but began to feel faint again. For a moment, he hesitated and thought about what he was doing. Could he really continue possibly harming this poor soul who was assisting him? But before he could think any further his animal instincts kicked in and he grabbed the person more aggressively. Pinning them to the ground, he absorbed all of his victim’s life force until he felt completely full. When he got back up, he couldn’t believe what he done. But instead of guilt, he felt power.
Continuing to feed on others, he began to believe he was superior to his victims. Seeing them as nothing more than cattle. Though he realized he couldn't just drain and kill his victims, he eventually learned to drain just enough to survive with harming them. With this new found power he fled this version of New York. He decided to let the wind take him wherever it may. Fate led him to Metro City, to what end is currently unknown.
